Welcome to Carinya Station. We’re Joe and Jacinda, along with our kids Archie, Clay, and Pippa. When you visit us, we welcome you like old mates. Here, you can feed an orphaned lamb or kid, wander the paddock, go birdwatching, sit by a crackling campfire, or simply soak up the vast, uninterrupted night skies.

What to Expect (And What We Are Not)

Carinya Station is an authentic, working family farm shaped by the outback—it is not a manicured resort.

To help you plan your stay, keep in mind:

Facilities: We do not have day spas, manicured lawns, or polished tile bathrooms. We feature authentic long-drop toilets under the stars.

 Water & Amenities: While we feature authentic long-drop toilets under the stars, we do not have showers. For hot showers and a unique outback soak, the local artesian thermal springs are located just a short drive down the road. 

The Environment: Our landscape is often dry, always real, and open to guests who want an unvarnished, slow-travel experience.

Our Season: Carinya Station welcomes guests from March through October each year.

Pet Friendly: Well-behaved dogs on leashes are very welcome to join your outback camping adventure!
